Prim cess

Her name is Prim, my brother in-law Ted, coined her nickname (she is)
Yes, Prim from Hunger Games :)
I have taken an embarrassing amount of pictures of her-
I'll TRY to keep this post within reason!

She was a Mother's Day gift from Gabby.
With Ken's umm, blessing may not be the right word.

Let's say with Ken's resignation to the whole cat thing.
Don't worry about him- now he's definitely smitten.

Ken's feet :)

So, one concern was the dog... Prim hissed & arched for a few days.
Sadie learned to give her a wide breadth when passing by.
I think 45 pound Sadie was a little scared of the maybe 2 1/2 pound Prim.
It didn't take long before they really started getting along.

Now Prim is fascinated with the dog and seeks her out to play or cuddle.

They both like to hang out in the bathroom with me.

I forgot how fun kittens are. Sadie is not much of a player,
she watches Prim and I think she is learning a few things!

Prim loves to watch the birds at our feeder.

Drink from the faucet

Play in the pillows on our bed

Sleep on us

Especially the shoulders, she will sit up there while you're walking around.

Just play, play, play!

She went to the Humane Society to get spayed last week. They said,
"keep her from running, jumping, and playing for a week to 10 days."
Umm, right...

She's getting big :( long!

She is very social.

Awh...whiskers!

In case you can't tell- I'm smitten too!
Thanks Gabby- I love her!!!

Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield Ma

Chris asked if we could go to the Basketball Hall of Fame on his Birthday. It is literally 10 min. away. His girlfriend Michelle was coming over so the four of us went.

Meet James Naismith who invented the game at a YMCA in Springfield Ma.
He used a peach basket attached to the wall.
Apparently, he not only was a health & physically conscious man, but also spiritual as well.
He studied medicine, taught, coached and was a National guard Chaplain. (very impressive)
Not bad for a guy from Canada :)

Michelle played basketball in High school so she enjoyed the trip as well.

It's a 3 story circular building, with a court on the bottom floor.

You could spend a year reading all the write up on the Hall of famers.

So much old stuff, this was a women's college basketball uniform.

There was a lot of very cool displays

Globetrotter stuff

Fun stuff :)

Statues

Sneaker flags

Basketball hoops over the years

We had dinner at Outback to celebrate Chris's birthday & Father's Day-
then DQ mint Oreo ice cream cake!
