Get ready... you are going to see lots of pictures in this post!
Beach House
Bud & Chris rented the right side of this beach house for us far away siblings to stay in when we came to NJ for my dad's ceremony. Bud's been trying to get us all there for several years. Since guilt wasn't working , he tried bribery-
Umm 4 out of 6 siblings and spouses made it. Shameful!!!
One block off the shore |
The first night those of us who were there walked the Ocean City Boardwalk. We ate great seafood, fries, and a ridiculous amount of caramel corn. ( well, at least Ken Ozzimo & I did)
Delicious
Chris had us all over for dinner on Saturday. Bud grilled tender steaks & we feasted on sides & desserts! It was great to see the kids (Lindsay, Jordan, & Bethany was home for a visit)
Sunrise
In honor of my mom, who had to see the sun rise whenever she was near the shore,
most of us headed to the beach the next morning.
Bear with me :)
If you scroll through them quickly, it's almost like your were there!
Miss you mom |
Look Out CVS
So, these came from Heather's purse.
She says she knows what they are all for- except the big green one!
Bird Watching (kind of)
After sunrise we headed to a nearby park to do some birdwatching.
It was absolutely beautiful.
But, have you ever been around my family. Yeah, we scared most of the birds away :)
Still we pressed on through the woods spotting a few here and there.
The big pay off- A blue heron. He just ignored us
But we enjoyed him.
Cape May
Sunday afternoon we headed for Cape May to sight see & take my dad's flag to the Sunset Beach.
We did a little shopping.
Then we headed to Cape May Point State Park and climbed 199 steps up the Cape May Lighthouse.
Here are some breathtaking views.
Also breathtaking (snicker)
There was a hawk and bird watch where some serious birders were doing there thing.
Yep, we totally destroyed the mood. (the loud family)
This ruins was on the beach- WWII radio & storage outlet Post
No, I'm not calling Heather & Ken ruins!
Ken & I had a really fun time with all our family. Where shall we all go next year?
